IMO Facilitation Committee (FAL)

Summary
The Facilitation Committee (FAL) is a subsidiary body of the Council. It was established in May 1972 and deals with IMO's work in eliminating unnecessary formalities and "red tape" in international maritime shipping. Participation in the Facilitation Committee is open to all Member States of IMO.

Previous Sessions

At the end of each FAL meeting, a final report is prepared for submission to the Council. The final report provides a record of the issues discussed and actions taken by the Committee. The final reports of the most recent FAL meetings are provided for your reference.
