Subject Matter Experts

The U.S. Coast Guard is an active leader in international maritime and regional affairs through involvement in symposiums and security forums across the globe. The service's senior leadership considers the opportunity to directly engage with students, thinkers, military agencies, and industry professionals abroad to be an integral part of promoting a narrative of rules-based maritime order and governance throughout the world.

We have subject matter experts available to participate in the international dialogue.

These are U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) Overseas Personnel:
 

USCG Liaison Officers (CGLO)
Facilitate interagency law enforcement efforts with international partners.

USCG Attaché Officers (COGATT)
Serve as military advisors to foreign militaries and at U.S. embassies.

USCG Maritime Advisors
Build alliances with industry, military, and state partners across the world's maritime domain.

USCG Security Cooperation Officers
Facilitate security cooperation on behalf of the U.S. Coast Guard.
