Monitoring Unit Guam will be closed to the public until further notice.

Regional Exam Centers (REC) pre-screen applications, administer examinations, conduct oversight of Coast Guard approved courses, and support community outreach programs. It is important that you provide the Regional Exam Center with a complete application package to avoid delay.

You MUST have a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) from the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) before applying for a credential.

MU Guam is closed and is not being staffed. Mariner credentialing services may be coordinated through the National Maritime Center (NMC) by contacting 1-888-IASKNMC (427-5662) or through REC Honolulu by emailing: RECHONOLULU@uscg.mil.

Medical applications and supporting medical documentation should be sent via e-mail to MEDAIP@uscg.mil . Please include your full name in the subject line and ensure attachments are in PDF format.

NMC will periodically host availability of REC services on Guam for applicants to take examinations and assist with other credentialing related services. This availability will be announced prior to the event. Once dates are announced, applicants are highly encouraged to ensure eligibility for taking any required examinations and reserve an appointment ahead of the event. Appointments may be limited and last minute requests for an appointment or service may not always be accommodated.
